Rolex Turn-O-Graph “Thunderbird” 1625

Offered here is the ref. 1625, the final original Turn-O-Graph reference to carry the Thunderbird name. Produced from 1959 to 1977, the ref. 1625 represents the core of the Turn-O-Graph lineage and remains one of the model’s most recognizable executions. This example is presented in a rare stainless steel and 18kt gold configuration, combining the model’s signature engine-turned rotating bezel with a Jubilee bracelet for a distinctive blend of sportiness and classic Rolex design.

The watch remains in overall excellent condition, with a recently and professionally polished case (Rolliworks, Miami), crown tube, gaskets and service. The gold bezel shows gentle wear to its edges with the reeded sections remaining well defined. Some wear is also visible to the engraved Arabic numerals.The dial retains its original vintage character, showing very light surface marks and some degradation around the outer edge, most notably between ten and twelve o’clock. The hands display slight discoloration to the lume, consistent with the watch’s age. It is fitted with a steel and gold Jubilee bracelet that has been recently serviced, graded to 90% and will fit wrist up to approximately 7.5”
