The Favre Leuba Sea Sky Chronograph ref. 33033, circa early 1960’s, is a distinctive vintage tool watch that blends classic Swiss craftsmanship with a sporty, rugged look. The 39mm stainless steel case was quite large for its time and includes a rotating countdown bezel that adds to its sporty and contemporary feel.

This Sea Sky features a black dial with crisp white markings and silver subdials that have aged beautifully, giving it a unique patina and tons of vintage character. The large luminous hands make it easy to read while keeping the design balanced. Inside, it’s powered by the reliable Valjoux Cal. 72 manual-wind movement, known for its precision and durability. Together, these details capture Favre Leuba’s legacy.

This example is in very good overall condition and has been recently serviced. The stainless steel case keeps its strong shape, showing only light scratches and marks typical for its age. The case back shows some wear but still has clear engravings and a visible serial number. The bezel is well preserved, though the acrylic insert shows a bit of separation. The dial shows some natural aging, with darkened lume and discolored subdials. The hour and minute hands appear to have been relumed, and the acrylic crystal shows a few scuffs. Overall, a great looking piece.
